Refund Policy.
We want you in the room only if it's the right move for you. This policy is designed to be fair to both sides — generous when there's time to fill your seat, structured when there isn't.
The schedule, in plain language
31+ days before — 100% refund
Cancel for any reason. Full refund issued to your original payment method within 7 business days.
14 – 30 days before — 50% refund or full transfer
Either receive a 50% refund, or apply 100% of your payment as credit toward the next cohort. Your choice.
0 – 13 days before — Transfer only
No cash refund, but you can transfer your seat to (a) the next available cohort, or (b) another person of your choice (subject to our acceptance).
After it starts — No refund for missed days
If you miss part of a workshop after it begins, no portion is refundable. We'll share session notes and any available recordings as a courtesy.
If we cancel
If JOPStudios cancels or reschedules a cohort for any reason — illness, force majeure, insufficient enrolment, venue issue — you'll receive at your choice: (a) a full 100% refund, or (b) credit equal to 100% toward the next available cohort. In either case we are not liable for travel, accommodation, or other indirect costs you may have incurred.
How to request a refund or transfer
1. Email hello@jopstudios.co with the subject line "Refund request — [your name]" or "Transfer request — [your name]".
2. Include your registration confirmation email or order number.
3. A human will reply within 2 business days.
4. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe; expect 5–10 business days for the refund to appear depending on your bank.
A few details
• The cutoff dates are calculated from the official start date of your earliest registered workshop (e.g. for the Photo Intensive, June 18, 2026).
• Bundle (Complete Pass) refunds are calculated against the bundle total, not the individual track prices.
• Discount codes (e.g. EARLY10) are honoured on transfers — your credit reflects the price you actually paid.
• Klarna / Afterpay installment plans follow the same schedule. Stripe automatically reverses outstanding installments as part of an approved refund.
• Currency conversion on refunds: if your bank converted USD to local currency at purchase, the refund is the original USD amount. Any FX difference is a matter between you and your card issuer.
What we don't refund
• Travel and accommodation booked separately.
• Equipment you bought to attend.
• Time off work.
• Behaviour that gets you removed from the cohort under §6 of the Terms of Service.
